Spades & Company is a premier destination for bridge education, play, and private game gatherings—bringing together players of all experience levels to learn, connect, and enjoy the game. Through expert instruction, engaging events, and thoughtfully designed space, we celebrate both the tradition and the evolving joy of bridge.

The first and only of it's kind in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities, Spades & Company brings people together through games that challenge the mind and spark connection. From bridge lessons and expert events to private game nights, we provide a welcoming space for learning, play, and community.

Registering for events is required for planning purposes and partnership coordination, however no payment is taken in advance. Payment is taken on site at the event(s) you register for. Your advance registration is important for necessary planning.

    Join for a Friday morning event as the group gathers for a fun and supportive game. The day begins with a short lesson at 9:30, followed by bridge play from 10:00 to noon, and concludes with a lively review of the hand records until 12:30.

    What makes us unique is our focus on learning while playing—you’re encouraged to ask questions, seek guidance, and grow your game in real time. No partner? No problem! Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a newer player looking to improve or a seasoned competitor who enjoys the camaraderie of bridge.

    The instruction themes include:

    • Louis Watson's Classic Book on The Play of the Hand at Bridge
    • Barbara Seagram’s 25 Most common Conventions

    The format will be 30 minutes of lecture followed by 60 minutes of play (about 10 boards). Then 20 minute of Q&A (hand record analysis). The instructor prepares the lecture and boards (with hand records). Q&A after play.

    Ideal attendees are new Bridge players and players that are looking to advance their skills.

    Chat Bridge is a welcoming and educational duplicate bridge session. Designed for new players, those curious about duplicate bridge, and anyone looking to sharpen their bidding and defense skills, each session begins with a brief five-minute lesson followed by supervised play.

    Experienced coaches (Life Masters and certified instructors) are available throughout to answer questions and review hands. We use duplicate boards and provide hand records after play for learning and discussion—without keeping score—so the focus stays fun, relaxed, and instructional.

    No partner needed.

    $15 per person.
